The previous owner of my titan said that the fan coupler was replaced under warranty and I haven't noticed any issues with it during my test drives. Yesterday, I noticed excessive vibrations during hard acceleration which got me thinking. Could the previous owner be lying to me, I didn't even ask for any proof of the fix. Or could the problem be back? What are my options here?

The excessive vibrations could mean the fan coupler issue is back or maybe another part is stirring up trouble. You could check repair records, inspect the coupler yourself or take it for a diagnostic to figure out what's shaking things up. Trust but verify, right?

I had a similar vibe with my truck, the previous owner claimed they fixed the fan coupler, but a few weeks in, I started feeling vibrations, so I took it to a shop, and sure enough the fix didn't stick. I ended up needing a new coupler, it's a bummer, but better to get it sorted early
