I got a DEF System Error – See Dealer message on my 2019 Titan SV this morning. So far, I haven't noticed any performance issues, everything seems to be running fine. Has anyone else experienced this?

A DEF system error starts a countdown until the truck is forced into a low speed limp mode or will not restart at all. You need to take a 'See Dealer' message on the emissions system very seriously and get it scanned before you're left stranded.

a DEF warning on a Titan is usually a sensor issue. It might be a low fluid level, or more likely, the DEF level sensor is having a bad day.
The sensor can get gunked up, fail, and send an inaccurate reading to the computer. If you're not seeing performance issues yet, try topping off the DEF tank with a fresh jug of quality fluid, then drive it for a bit to see if the message clears. If it doesn't, it's a sensor problem
