Changing new front of the titan pro4x

My FIL got this 2017 Nissan Titan Pro4x. The Fox shocks tht the old owner put on are shot, and he just doesn't wanna drop thousand of dollar on new fronts.

I'm helping my FIL with this and was looking at some cheaper Rancho shocks for the front. But they say "without off road package."

Here's my question: Is the "off road package" the same thing as my FIL's Pro4x?

If so, what's different between the non offroad Titan and the Pro4x?

I'd really like to just swap out the whole front strut thingy, but I want to keep the lifted height the Fox shocks gave me.

Any cheap ideas or thoughts on how to do this without spending a ton of money?

Yes, the Pro4X has the off-road package, I believe the main differences include upgraded shocks, skid plates, and an electronic locking rear differential

@LowKeyMike the Rnacho set you're looking without off-road means it's not a set of shocks that will match the ones on the Pro4x. If you're planning on keeping things as they are you can look for the Bilstein 5100 which are affordable enough and will be a perfect for the titan. Monroe or kyb should also have some off-road capable sets for the Pro4x, so those two are an option as well.

Great info! The Bilstein 5100s are definitely a reliable choice for the Titan. It's also good to have a few other solid options like Monroe, KYB, Fox 2.0s, and Old Man Emu in the mix too.

@LowKeyMike the Fox shocks it came with are longer and built for more travel, so tossing on cheaper non-off-road ones might mess with the stance or even limit suspension travel and I reco Bilstein 5100s too

If you're trying to keep the ride height from the Fox setup without really spending much, I think the Bilstein 5100s are gonna do you good. They ride great and you can set the front height for leveling.

Have you tried the Blistein 5100 on the middle perch? Curious how the ride compares.
